Early starts and short-life stock
Bakery expiry date tracking, ordering and rostering for early starts, built around three problems.
Flour and butter come in by the pallet, and you are guessing what to reorder.
Guess high and money sits on the shelf. Guess low and you run short mid-week.
Things go out of date at the back of the cool room.
Short-life stock needs a date on it.
Starts are at 3 am, and the same three people always pick up the extra shifts.
Open the shifts up so the rest of the team can see and claim them.

Bakery inventory and rostering questions
Can I track expiry by batch?
Yes, you can record expiry dates on the batches you receive, and Cord8 notifies you when one is about to expire.
How does Cord8 suggest what to order?
It looks at how much you have used lately, then allows for the supplier's lead time, minimum order and pack size. For a new product with no history, it works from your low-stock level.
Can my bakers see their shifts on a phone?
Yes, bakers open Cord8 in the browser on their phone, and they can add their published shifts to their own calendar.
